In April, we sent out a survey asking for Lane County residents to nominate their top picks in 12 different categories. We wanted to showcase local businesses, who have felt the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and who could use a little extra love right now. We asked survey takers to write in a first and second place pick, which we scored accordingly. As a result, we bring you Lane County’s Top Picks for Galleries!

Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
As the only academic art museum in Oregon accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art on the University of Oregon campus features permanent, rotating, and new exhibits displaying historic and contemporary art. They also offer educational programming to enhance their collections.

Karin Clarke
Karin Clarke Gallery centers around Oregon artists. Since they opened in 2002, the gallery has been a regular home to regional artists as well as guest artists. This summer, the gallery will host the Eugene Biennial juried show during Visual Arts Week.

New Zone Gallery
The New Zone Gallery, a mainstay in our community for more than 30 years, features experimental artists who typically wouldn’t be shown anywhere else. As a nonprofit cooperative gallery, they highlight individual artists as well as host group shows.
