Happy New Year! This week we celebrate the turning of the year from 2024 to 2025. That means there are a lot of events taking place on December 31. This week, we also celebrate the gray whale migration along the Oregon coast, and you can venture to whale watching sites up and down the coast to talk with knowledgeable volunteers about how to spot them. The community comes together for Chanukah Wonderland at Valley River Center, offering crafts and a grand Menorah lighting. If you’re a birder, you might choose to participate in the 83rd annual Lane County Christmas Bird Count. What will you do?
