It’s an art-filled weekend in Lane County! Step into a world of wonder where imagination soars and a spoonful of sugar makes everything sweeter. When the practically perfect Mary Poppins arrives at Cottage Theatre, she fills the Banks home with music, magic, and the joy of family. Downtown Eugene comes alive with creativity during Lane County’s First Friday ArtWalk, while the Museum of Natural and Cultural History and the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art welcome visitors for free exploration on the first Friday of the month. Looking to move your body and have fun while doing it? Roller skating returns to the Farmers Market Pavilion this Thursday with DJ Smuve spinning the beats!

Roller skating at the Farmers Market Pavilion
| Roller skating returns to the Farmers Market Pavilion this Thursday with music by DJ Smuve! Eugene Roller Village is transforming the Pavilion and Plaza into a roller rink for the next two sessions. Skaters of all ages and abilities are welcome to enjoy the music, lights, and fun. Skate rentals and snacks will be provided by NW Skateland. The event is rain or shine, with indoor skating in the Pavilion if needed. Upcoming dates include April 3 & 10 from 5-8pm. Volunteer Gardening at Owen Rose Garden
| Share your passion for roses and gain hands on experience in year-round care of perennial shrubs! Meet by the garage door of the shop at the garden wearing weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. No experience necessary. Depending on the season, help weed, prune and deadhead a variety of roses on Fridays to keep Eugene’s iconic botanical garden looking beautiful. On Wednesdays, help plant their collection of Heritage Roses, along with weeding, mulching, and pruning. Animal Art by Kids for Greenhill Society
| Join Lane Arts’ Council for the First Friday Youth Takeover, where 7 year old Katsi Neils and her friends will be selling art to raise money for the Greenhill Humane Society. The art features animals up for adoption, many of whom the kids met during a shelter tour. From paintings to postcards, magnets, and bookmarks, the artwork is created by artists ranging from age 3 to grown-ups. All proceeds will benefit the Greenhill Humane Society. Free, 5:30-8pm. The Eugene Saturday Market |
The Saturday Market is a weekly celebration of local arts and food. Over 250 artisans sell handcrafted goods, amazing international cuisine and live music – this is the perfect place to shop for unique gifts and try unique food. The Lane County Farmers Market
| The Lane County Farmers Market is Eugene’s largest farmers market, providing locally grown foods from over 100 farmers and food artisans. | Each year, the teams at beergarden and PublicHouse duke it out to see who drafted the best IPA. This year’s event will feature 2 categories of IPAs: West Coast and Hazy. The Beer Teams choose the beers. Your vote decides the favorite. The 3 week event features 2 blind flights of four, 1 flight at beergarden and 1 at PublicHouse, comprising the Sweet 8 IPAs. Each flight will have 2 West Coast styles and 2 Hazy styles. You’ll have two weeks to taste both flights and cast your vote for the tastiest brews in a blind taste off from March 18th- March 30th. Kitchen Table Talk at Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art 
| Presented as part of artist Steve Prince’s multi-visit residency with his partner and collaborator Leah Glenn, Kitchen Table Talk presents a selection of drawings, prints, and installation that reflect on the conversations that occur around the kitchen table. Steve Prince is a New Orleans-born mixed-media artist currently based in Williamsburg, Virginia.
