The 54th Annual Exploding Whale Memorial Celebration
| Commemorate the 1970 event where a beached sperm whale was blown up with dynamite, causing a mess and setting a lesson to not do so again. Very special guest Paul Linnman will be in attendance for a meet and greet, toast and autographs. Linnman made the Exploding Whale world-famous by standing in front of the explosion as he reported on the event, making for an infamous video. For this quirky holiday, add to the art installation at the memorial and give a toast to the whale at 3:45 pm.
