Beatles vs. Stones

The ultimate battle of who are the true kings of the British Invasion is coming to the WOW Hall this Thursday. The showdown will feature alternating power sets between two tribute bands with a show-stopping encore with both bands collaborating. The South Eugene High School String Quartet will also be joining the performance!

Open House at Emerald TMS

The Frightuary Haunted House

One of the best ways to celebrate Halloween is to get your adrenaline pumping at a haunted house. The Frightuary is offering three experiences, including zombies, ghosts, clowns, and many more frightening scenes and creatures to make you scream.

Head to the Lane County Fairgrounds to gear up for this winter’s snow play season. Noble Estate Urban is hosting their annual Halloween Bash this Friday! Complexions Contemporary Ballet: Star Dust

Paying tribute to the life and music of David Bowie, Star Dust, performed by Complexion Contemporary Ballet, is a unique take. The performers take the audience through all of Bowie’s different personas and albums, from Aladdin Sane to Ziggy Stardust to the Goblin King, and everywhere in between and beyond. You’ll be dancing, singing, and crying along at this jaw-dropping show.

Quarantine Haunted Maze at CROW

The zombies have escaped and have taken over the CROW Center for Performing Arts in Florence. Enter at your own risk of infection to search for a vial of antidote to keep yourself safe. The maze on the Monday (family night) is rumored to have the zombies better contained, but be ready to be scared the other nights!

Dracula at Very Little Theatre

See Bram Stoker’s classic novel come to life at the Very Little Theatre, opening this weekend. One of the classic vampire stories, follow Count Dracula in his slow takeover of London in the VLT’s ten performances. During their closing weekend (November 9and 10), they will also be hosting a Dracula Blood Drive.

Reefer Madness the Musical Dinner Show at Actors Cabaret

What happens when some previously clean-cut teens fall prey to the evils of marijuana? Well, hysteria overtakes them, of course! “Reefer Madness the Musical” is a musical comedy based on the anti-marijuna social guidance film from the ’30s. With book, music, and lyrics by Dan Studney and Kevin Murphy, the catchy songs will leave you singing in your seats at the Actors Cabaret and on your way home.

Halloween Coffin Races at Skinner Butte 10/27

Decorated coffins will be racing down Lincoln Street from the Skinner’s Butte Columns for ghoulish bragging rights and prizes this Saturday. There will be a series of one-on-one, elimination-style races until an ultimate champion is declared. There will also be other awards, including “Freshest Coffin,” “Best Dressed Team,” and more. There will also be live music, a beverage garden, food trucks, pumpkin carving, and other Halloween-themed activities.

Blackboard Chef’s Showcase: Americana with Amy Mirate at Mike Synder

Provisions Executive Chef Mike Snyder and Pastry Chef Amy Mirate will be center stage at the Chef’s Showcase at Blackboard at Provisions this Saturday. Join them for tastes from their carefully curated menu featuring American dishes such as a fall chicory salad, chicken and waffles, or pumpkin cheesecake, among other classics. Mount Pisgah Arboretum Mushroom Festival

Head to Mount Pisgah for a day of mushroom-related activities for their annual Mushroom Festival. There will be live music, guided nature walks, hay rides, a cider booth, a kids’ booth, culinary demos, and much more! Donations and proceeds from this event will support their work in native habitat stewardship and environmental education.

Having recently opened their W 11thlocation, Toxic Wings is slowly taking over the wings (and more) scene in Eugene.
