The evenings are getting long and the temperatures are climbing. Summer is almost here and this weekend’s events definitely showcase that. See beautiful flowers, run outside, or take advantage of this perfect biking weather.

Florence Rhododendron Festival

Florence is hosting their annual Rhododendron Festival, in its 111th year, this weekend. Join them for three days of rhododendron-centered events such as a street vendor fair, the 5K run, the crowning of “Queen Rhododendra,” and many more! BicyClean at UO

Help make the river trails trash free by hopping on your bike! The UO Outdoor Program is hosting a BicyClean event this Saturday. Breakfast, raffle, and snacks will be provided for all participants!

Spring Tea at SMJ House

Visit the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House for their Spring Tea on Saturday. Help support the historic house and their efforts to preserve the House’s legacy in the community. The tea will feature tea sandwiches, scones, dessert, and delicious tea.

Wildflower & Music Festival

The hills are in bloom and the Mount Pisgah Arboretum is celebrating with their annual wildflower and music festival. Come see between 300 and 400 different wildflowers, live music, kids’ activities, plant sales, and food! Get the best view on a nature walk, guided by one of their natural history experts. Please leave dogs at home for this festival.

Grapes of Half Marathon at Noble Estate and Sweet Cheeks

Noble Estate Winery and Sweet Cheeks Winery are sharing a race route this Sunday for the Grapes of Half Marathon. Finishers get a medallion, wine glass, tickets for a complimentary pour at each winery, and other post-race refreshments! Join them for live music at Sweet Cheeks and a race expo at the finish line. Bark in the Park Run & Fair

Grab your pup and head down to the 25th Annual Bark in the Park, benefitting Greenhill Human Society. Register for their 10K, 5K, or 2K run/walk and enjoy other canine activities, vendor booths, and much more, all for the love of animals. Join a team and help them reach their fundraising goals.
