Superstars of Blues Rock Harmonica

Award-winning musician Mark Hummel is bringing “Blue Harmonica Blowout 2020: Superstars of Blues Rock Harmonica” to the Shedd this Thursday. This year’s performance will feature Magic Dick, Lee Oskar, Jerry Portnoy, and Duke Robillard.

Conversations: Reflections of 14 Women Artists

For their first exhibit of their new season, the Maude Kerns Art Center is presenting “Conversations: Reflections of 14 Women Artists,” featuring the work of Out of the Woodwork, a guild of professional women artists. The exhibit includes a table set for the artists on display. They are hosting their opening reception on Friday with an Artists’ Talk on February 1. This exhibit will be on display through February 7.

Frost Trot 5K

Eclectic Edge Racing is hosting their annual Frost Trot, which will be the perfect first run to stay on top of your New Year’s resolutions. There will be a 5K, 10K two-person relay, and a 15K three-person relay. Check out their website for more information.

Claire Burbridge—In Conversation

Artist Claire Burbridge, exhibition curator Jill Hartz, and catalog essayist Emily Shinn will be presenting a public conversation at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art on Wednesday. The talk will complement Burbridge’s exhibit, “Pathways to the Invisible,” which is currently on display.
