From the coast to the concert hall, this week is anchored by the Newport Seafood & Wine Festival, February 19–22, bringing four days of fresh coastal seafood, Northwest wines, live music and winter celebration to the Port of Newport. It is the ultimate winter escape, drawing visitors for crab, chowder, artisan vendors and lively entertainment along the Oregon coast. Back in Eugene, the week continues with live performances at The Shedd Institute, exhibitions and events at the Hult Center, local theater at Very Little Theatre, ballet classes and previews, farmers markets, midweek live music and community arts experiences throughout town. And there are still a few delicious weeks left of the Grilled Cheese Experience, making it the perfect time to explore creative comfort food across participating local restaurants. It is a full stretch of flavor, culture, performance and connection from the coast to the heart of Lane County.
