The Emporium

Starting this week, every Wednesday and Thursday through Christmas Eve, shop local makers, bakers, and artists for your holiday gifts and goodies at The Emporium, in Veneta. Their grand opening is this Friday!

Siri Vik: The Songs I Want to Sing

Previously postponed and now renamed, local vocalist, Siri Vik, will be performing a collection of songs that she has always wanted to perform. See “Pirate Jenny” by Kurt Weill, ballads, arias, theatre pieces, and Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en rose,” among others.

Galleria at the Smith Opening Weekend

The Galleria at the Smith, Eugene’s newest artist marketplace, is celebrating its grand opening this weekend, giving us all the chance to peruse artists’ works, which cover all mediums from ceramics to fiber arts to jewelry, and much more. Herbal Living Series: Simple ways to green clean your home with Christine Rice

In the final iteration of the Herbal Living Series, you can learn simple cleaning techniques from Christine Rice from Mountain Rose Herbs. She’ll teach your basic cleaning ingredients and preparation for you to use in keeping your home fresh.

YMCA ESCAPE 2020 Triathlon

Now until December, finish 2020 strong with Eugene Family YMCA’s ESCAPE 2020 end-of-the-year triathlon. Through the next few months and at your own pace, you will need to swim 2.5 miles, run/work the cardio machines for 26.2 miles, and bike 112 miles. Register on their website.

Paintings from Château Orquevaux

Opening on Wednesday, the Karin Clarke Gallery will be displaying paintings from Château Orquevaux, a collection of oil paintings by owner Karin Clarke, inspired by an artist residency she did in the French countryside in 2019. The twenty-seven pieces capture the green landscapes and buildings of the region she visited.
