First Friday ArtWeek

Celebrate local art with Lane Arts Council’s First Friday ArtWeek, kicking off this Friday. While there won’t be a guided tour, you can check out these displays and exhibits all week (and some beyond!). Highlights: Art for a Change Mural Exhibit at Friendly Street Market, “Adam Grosowsky: No Direction Home” at Karin Clarke Gallery (pictured), “Mexico, Beautiful, and Loved” by Isabel Dutroncy at 1059 Willamette Street, and much more!

Frozen Trail Runfest

Level 32 Racing is hosting the Frozen Trail Runfest to get your moving, warm, and experiencing Howard Buford Park at Mount Pisgah. Sign up for their 5K, 15K, 25K, or 50K course.

Annual Springfield Christmas Parade

An annual tradition is seeing a new twist. For this year’s Springfield Christmas Parade, the floats will be stationary, showcasing the “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” theme.

Madre’s Club: Art Workshops in Spanish

As part of Fiesta Cultural and in partnership with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, join the Lane Arts Council for a community art club for Spanish-speaking mothers looking to express their creativity and improve their art skills. Children are also welcome!

Lane Arts Council and Noche Cultural will be hosting a virtual concert featuring Son de Barranca, a group that performs traditional Mexican music and dance. All ages welcome!

Hult Presents: Star-studded Folksbiene Chanukah Special

The Hult Center and the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene are presenting “A Star-Studded Folksbiene Chanukah Spectacular,” with appearances by many well-known faces including Mayim Bialk, Billy Crystal, Barry Manilow, Carol Burnett, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, among many others!

5th Street Market Holiday Scavenger Hunt

Take on 5th Street Market in their Holiday Scavenger Hunt, now through December 20. Their passport will have you visiting all the local shops and searching for a present icon to guide you. Prizes are available for those who complete the passport!

The Galleria at the Smith, Eugene’s newest artist marketplace, gives us all the chance to peruse artists’ works, which cover all mediums from ceramics to fiber arts to jewelry, and much more. They will be open every weekend through the end of the year.

YMCA ESCAPE 2020 Triathlon

Now until December, finish 2020 strong with Eugene Family YMCA’s ESCAPE 2020 end-of-the-year triathlon. Through the next few months and at your own pace, you will need to swim 2.5 miles, run/work the cardio machines for 26.2 miles, and bike 112 miles. Register on their website.
